Typical Uses of Cast Steel

High pressure automotive dies, high pressure valves, general engineering castings where high strengths and elongation are required. Also parts that require high impact resistance.

Typical Properties

Grades cast - 380/25 up to 700/10. The first figure of the grade indicates tensile strength in newtons per mm2 and the second the % elongation. It should be noted that these figures can be altered by various heat treatments, a process that these steel grades are particularly suited to.
