Quality system approved to BSEN 9001:2000, and Germanisher Lloyd, with full laboratory and pattern shop facilities on site. Full traceability and certification is offered on all castings produced.
- Order tracking and production control operates around Synchro32® computerised system.
- Operating on a secure financial basis with a turnover of circa £8.5m per annum.
- Licences for operation of Solidworks® and Magmasoft® simulation packages offers a high degree of right first time and rapid turn around.
- On site facilities for ultra-sonic and magnetic particle non destructive testing available.
- Melting units comprising two 7 tonne 4.2 Mw 250 Hz Inductotherm® induction furnaces mounted on load cells for accurate charging.
- Metal control via ARL 3400, 20 element spectrometer, coupled with Minco melt lab ensure accurate metallurgical control of every
melt.
- Recent installation of a new 25 tonne per hour mobile mixer has complemented the already existing 30 tonnes per hour mobile unit and other fixed mixers. All mixers are calibrated automatically to ensure good quality moulding sand and therefore high quality casting finish.
- Sand reclaim is via a Hewitt-Robins cooling and reclamation plant.
- Materials produced:- cast iron – all grades, ductile (S.G.) iron 350/22 through to 700/2, Ni-resist, Ni-hard and carbon steel.
- Our maximum individual casting weight capability is 34,000kgs in cast iron or ductile (S.G.) irons, and 5000kgs in steel and high nickel alloys.
